WAKKER SS16 Fashion Show

Yesterday I attended the fashion show of the new collection from the Dutch brand WAKKER. Which is created by Jettie Wakker.
When my friend and I arrived at the 512 concept store in Nijmegen around 19:30 we got to try these amazing homemade stroopwafels (in all these different flavours). So, while eating we took the chance to look around the store.

- First a little bit more about the 512 store. It's basically a concept store where they not only sell clothing accessories and plants, but it's also a tea bar. Which is such a great idea! -

Later when the show was about to start, the creator Jettie told us that this whole collection was inspired by geometric shapes and that she was excited and nervous to show us the clothing.
I was very impressed by the brand! And as it comes to fashion, I love the monochrome style.
It looks so beautiful!

This collection is now available in the 512 store.

Graffiti Series // March 2016

In the beginning of this year I decided to do some more projects for my photography portfolio.
So on a Saturday I met up with Sophie Wolf and Loes van der Heijden, who were my models for the day. I had this great location in mind, an awesome graffiti wall. Later as we decided to go into town to take some more pictures, we stumbled upon this black brick wall, which was a really cool contrast.
I'm quite pleased with the results and I already have some nice ideas for future projects.

Autumn Walk

On a Sunday my family and I went for an Autumn walk through the woods to this lovely restaurant
and I decided to bring my camera with me. We ordered some 'bitterballen' which are a typical Dutch snack.  It was a beautiful sunny day and the air outside was crisp, which created those cozy vibes that are just perfect for Autumn.

Hotspot: 'Make My Day' Concept Store

The other day I was walking down the oldest high street in Nijmegen and came across a shop that I had never seen before. It is called 'Make My Day' and it's a concept store. Which means that it's a retail store that goes beyond simply selling stuff and instead is appealing to a sense of lifestyle. Rather than just offering a selection of standard products for purchase, this type of store sells products that appeal to a particular type of costumer.

Anyway, of course I wanted to take a look inside. So, I did and it was pretty cool!
The interior was right up my street - it was like you walked into a Tumblr world, haha.
The shop does not only sell clothing for male and female. But also lots of quirky little bits and pieces, like vinyls, record players, books, old magazines, post cards and plants. And when I thought it couldn't get any better, that was when I saw that this shop is actually combined with a hair salon.

I'd really recommend taking a look for yourself if you're ever in Nijmegen.
Such a great place to get inspired.

Location: Stikke Hezelstraat 65, Nijmegen - The Netherlands
